Mobile Phone Monday, September 12th, 2011Sony Ericsson Live With Walkman

Sony Ericsson gathered a substantial amount of popularity through its Walkman series mobiles, not just because they are affordable, they have the best sound quality you can have on a mobile device with the ability to playback most popular and most used Audio formats without any problems. Which makes it a perfect solution for those looking for an MP3 player combined with phone and that’s just want Sony Walkman series mobiles is all about.
Sony Ericsson Live with Walkman just got better with Android interface, we will talk a bit more in detail in the later part of the article. From the looks of this mobile you can immediately say that it resembles more of Xperia series mobiles and you can easily misidentify it as one, but what makes this phone unique is the fact that it has a dedicated walkman button at the near the 3.5 mm headphone jack, clicking which will directly take you to the music player on the OS which is really cool and also not something unfamiliar if you have owned a Walkman series mobile before.

Looking around the device, you got a 5 MP camera at the back with single LED flash and its an auto focus camera which should be able to take decent quality pictures and should be capable of recording good quality videos as well, It has a 3.5 mm headphone jack at the top with on/off switch to the right, to the left side is where you can find the microUSB port which can be used to transfer the files between your PC and the device and also acts as a charging port as well, to the right is the volume rocker and a dedicated camera button and at the bottom of the device is where the microphone is present.

Runs on Android 2.3 ginger bread with customized user interface to make the maximum usage out of its 3.2 inch TFT display, its display comes with the resolution of 480 x 320 pixels and supports for up to 16 million colors and its really one of the beautiful displays you can find on a similar sized device, screen looks bit glossy and tend to reflect the light back quite well, but its performance under sunlight is on the decent side and you should be able to use it without any problems when the brightness is set to maximum under well lit conditions. Interface has 5 separate home pages which can be customized with widgets and applications of your choice, we found the interface to be pretty responsive to touch and fluid, there is no noticeable lag what so ever, thanks to its powerful 1GHz processor and Adreno GPU unit powers up this device under the hood.

From the connectivity side it supports 3G, Wifi, Bluetooth, GPRS, EDGE, microUSB v2.0, 3.5 mm headphone jack, Wifi tethering. Comes with a built in memory of 320 MB which can be increased up to 32GB with the help of microSD card slot. Its 1200 mAh battery supports for up to 14.2 hours of talk time and 600 hours of standby time.
