Long Awaited Samsung galaxy S2 finally goes to pre order before its release in march 4th in UK. though we do not have the full details of its specifications, so far we have got hold of some key features and specifications of this mobile which will give you a rough idea about this new smart phone from the company. This phone will be powered by 1Ghz powerful Samsung Orion processor, features a beautiful 4.3 inch AMOLED clear display, we are not sure yet whether the display glass will be gorilla glass which is resistive to scratches and breaking. Display comes with a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels which is still not in any way near to iphone 4 but still AMOLED displays looks nice with great viewing angles and produces great contrasts between colors. It will run on android 2.3 ginger bread OS, which will support flash on browsers. From the connectivity end it will support 3g, GPRS, EDGE, Bluetooth 3.0, wifi and USB. It has a 8 megapixels camera which will support 1080p video recording and should take great quality pictures as well. There is also a 1.3megapixel front facing camera which will support video chatting and video calls. 1GB RAM should easily take care of intense multi tasking and great processing speed. Some of the other details we managed to gather about this mobile so far is, it will weigh less about 118g and has thickness of 8.49mm, this phone will also have a curved look much like Nexus S.

Do you know when this phone is releasing in India and what is the proces expected to be in INR?
Should be available by April, we expect the cost to be around Rs.35,000 we will confirm the price once it gets released.

My suggestion would be to look at HTC Desire S and regarding N8, its a good device but does not feature multi touch and also runs on Symbian OS which is not so popular now. I would not go with N8 personally. HTC Desire S is definitely a good option to go, for your budget, secondly Samsung Galaxy S2 is not yet released in India so we cannot give you the accurate price as of now.

Hello sir Thank you for providing a very necessary information about galaxy s2.But i think that you forgot to comment upon the dual core processor.May be it is a 1ghz dual core orion processor & not a 1.2ghz one according to all other sites.there is also a 16/32 gb onboard memory.I am exited to buy this phone but I would b happy to see this phone supporting usb-on-the-go.Can you please help me to find any accessories that will help me to use this device as a usb-on-the-go device….

The Galaxy S2 is one of the stupid-phone in the World. Usally The Samsung spread to their money for an exaggerative advertisement. They use electronic components in the Galaxy S2 so that stupid-phone has lots of equipment-faults. In Korea there are lot’s of communication blog about consumer’s discussion. there is Lot’s of Q&A about the Galaxy S2′s faults in every 7 or 9 min. First of all it’s miss-design. This phone has a plenty of bugs. Do you really want to buy a hot water pack. The Galaxy S2 can help your hand at cold winter because it generates heat every 20 min.

It will be In India In end or Mid of May .. I just got it on pre order from UK . Cannot wait for it.
Samsung Galaxy S2 (i9100) will be in Indian market by 15 May and price will be Rs33,500 for 16 Gb and Rs41,700 for 32 Gb.

Hi, I am in a dilemma whether to go for Samsung Galaxy Tab or wait for Galaxy S2 my basic needs were reading ebook, Video Calls which are very handy with Tab, however with 4.3″ screen i feel the same can be done with S2 as well and also the processor speed is faster as well. So am bit confused as to which on i should go for, please guide me

Samsung s2 is definitely better in all aspects. Forget about iPhone4. I had iPhone 4 and now switched to Samsung s2. Loving it.

hi…im planning to buy a samsung galaxy s2…not sure wether i should wait for the phone to be released in india or get one from the US. my questions are 1) ive read up a litle on S2 and realised that not the same model is released through out the world..the i9100 is superior with amoled + screen where as the ones in UK are not. is S2 in india being released in i9100 model with the same features? 2) if i get it from the U.S. can i get it without the service provider? 3) do i have to deal with the unlocking problem as seen with i phones? 4)will the one from U.S. be able to support 3g facilities? 5)which would be cheaper?
and….what would be the difference between samsung infuse 4g n galaxy s2? which would you prefer if given a choise?
1) i9100 is the standard model across the globe. super amoled plus is also standard throughout the globe! only difference will be availability of NFC! its not there in UK. i heard they will put it in India. In which case the phone will be slightly thicker than promised 8.9 mm. 2) The phone is coming to US only in Q2! So no use thinking of getting it from there! 3) US deals normally come with carriers. U will have to unlock it. Bad option. 4) 3G is obviously there! duh! 5) Its gonna cost the same almost everywhere at least at this point in time!
