Nokia X-100 – Affordable Multimedia Mobile Device

Nokia X-100 Overview

We remember Stephen Elop who is the CEO of Nokia at present giving out a statement in one of his recent press conference that Nokia is continuing to develop new low price model mobiles that will be mainly focused on markets like India and other developing nations, which has a huge demand for the affordable ones.

Nokia X-100 is one of the mobiles that will be hitting the Indian market in the month of april most likely. It has a very nice look to it, its definitely does look stylish at least from the pictures what we got at the moment. It has a curvy rear end which will allow the user to grip the phone quite well, also there is a big speaker grill at the back, which should be a clear sign that this mobile is more of a music focused model. According to Nokia one of the main reasons for manufacturing this mobile with a huge speaker is to penetrate the noise level of the outside which seem to be on the rise, also many people using such mobiles for other purposes such as listening to FM radio or listening to songs from the memory card etc.

There are also claims that you will not have much disturbance on your audio even when the loud speakers are set to its highest volume, which is pretty common among most low price model devices with nice set of speakers built in. It has 1.8 inch TFT color display and runs on Series 30 OS, which is pretty basic and straight forward and apparently this model will feature more polished music player and games. There are no cameras and that’s understandable when considering its price range. Some of the additional features includes torch light, dedicated music playback button, five set of phone books for loading up additional contacts, FM radio, comes with preloaded applications like Sudoku, Snake Xenia, Brach Rally, Forbidden Treasure, Vacation Solitaire games.

From the connectivity side it will support 3.5mm heaphone jack, GPRS, USB and WAP. Memory of this device can be expanded up to 16GB which is pretty impressive with microSD card. Also provides great battery back up supporting nearly 62 days of standby time.

  1. The stand by time is amazing how is that possible 62 days stand by time!!! if it comes to market it would cut all the other mid level brands and also including some of nokia owns small features sets.

    • Battery capacity is on power with what they use in smart phones which has big touch screens, as this mobile does not have touch screen and bigger display which usually drains your battery fast, it is capable of giving increased battery backup.
