It might surprise you to know the fact that World’s first 3D phone was released by Indian mobile manufacturer Spice and the phone model is Spice M-67 3D, but its not really that interesting as it featured just 6 cms screen where you could hardly notice any 3D effects on the display, and it utilized a prototype.

LG Optimus 3D does not come with a prototype display, it features a fully functional 4.3 inch 3D display with the resolution of 480 x 800 pixels which has capacitive touch and supports multi touch, accelerometer, proximity sensor and light sensor. Runs on android 2.2 Froyo version and supports flash 10.1 while browsing the web, support for which can be turned on or off depending up your preference. Powered by Texas Instruments OMAP4 1000 MHz processor and 512MB RAM. There are couple of 5MP cameras at the back with LED flash support which can be used to shoot 3D videos and it can take great quality pictures as well, camera does feature different shooting modes along with auto focus which can be quite fun to play with, also does have a front facing camera which can be used for video calling. Its quite fun to view videos on this device in 3D and supports many video formats which includes MPEG4, H.263, H.264, DivX, WMV, AVI, 3GP and it can also play a wide variety of audio format files as well MP3, AAC, AAC+, eAAC+, WAV, MIDI. LG has developed special 3D games which comes preloaded on this device.

From the connectivity end it will support 3G, wifi, bluetooth, GPS, GPRS, HTML and Flash browsing, USB and HDMI. Comes with 8GB of internal memory which can be expanded up to 32GB with microSD or microSDHC cards. 1500 mAh battery which should support this device for at least 6 to 7 hours of talktime approx.
