For those who cannot afford the expensive versions of ipod, ipod shuffle is for those who not only need a super compact media player, but also comes at a very affordable price range. iPod shuffle has gone through a lot of design changes over the years but 2nd generation ipod shuffle is claimed to be the most popular design over the 1st and 3rd. So Apple has decided to retain the looks of the 2nd generation shuffle with very little changes, this version is even more compact and comes with a very easily usable controls which are pretty straight forward. New added feature of this generation is the added button for voice command. When you press it once it gives you the name of the sound track, if you hold the button little longer it gives you the name of the playlist, pressing the button in quick succession twice will get you the battery charge level. All the other controls are pretty much the same from the second generation shuffle. You get a quick guide, default head phones, USB charger. 4th generation ipod shuffle is not available in 4GB version so you need to stick to the 2GB one as it is the only option available at present. Over all this is a very good super compact digital media player that is very affordable, if you are craving to own an apple device but do not have much left in your pockets to spend on the expensive range of products apple offers then shuffle would probably the best option to go for, plus it can make up as a great gift to your beloved ones.

are ipod shuffe prices going to go down soon? one of the experts on a forum says that apple is introducing a fresh range. as soon as the new models appear, the old models will be available at much discounted prices. do you think so also, C Raghavan bro?
Yeah when the next version hits the stores the old version will be out of sale or will be on sale for a reduced price to clear the stocks. But we do not have any confirmed date so far on when it will be launched though.. most likely by next month when the next version of iphone is launched in India. Lets see
